BRP Inc. continues to build upon the demand of the Can-Am Off-Road product portfolio, with record-setting market share gains in all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and side-by-side vehicle (SSV) categories. The 2023 Can-Am ATV youth lineup introduces three all-new Renegade fuel-injected youth models, while the full-size Outlander and Renegade lineups feature a bold new look and feel, with improved rider comfort across both product lines. The 2023 Can-Am Maverick X3 SSV lineup receives increased mid-horsepower performance with new engine updates for the Maverick X3 DS Turbo, while the Defender lineups also receive a suite of upgrades.

Improved SSV Performance & Power
Through the constant pursuit of increased performance and power, Can-Am has further solidified its position as the mid-horsepower sport UTV leader by increasing the Maverick X3 DS Turbo’s horsepower to 135, up 15 horsepower from the 2022 model. Following the trend of breaking new ground, the Defender is now the pinnacle of working performance for suspension performance and unrivaled tire clearance in the utility-recreational category, and comes stock with 30-inch tires.
The increased horsepower and handling on the Maverick X3 lineup was achieved through advanced drivetrain parts, such as the addition of a new Turbo assembly, new Turbo Injectors, a new Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and calibration package, along with a new pDrive Primary Clutch for faster acceleration and quieter driving experience. For 2023, the Maverick X3 X ds Turbo RR package now comes equipped with a Sport Roof and four-point retractable harnesses.
The 2023 Defender lineup also receives a suite of changes and updates. The Defender X mr is now available with half-doors. Additionally, arched A-Arms are now standard equipment on the following packages: DPS CAB, Limited, Lone Star, and X mr. These combined updates allow riders to push farther and hard into rougher terrain to get the job done with increased comfort.
There are also three new tire specs across the Defender lineup for increased traction and performance, XPS Swamp Force Tires are now standard equipment on the Defender X Mr HD10. XPS Trail King Tires are now standard on all Defender DPS HD10 and Defender XT HD10 packages. XPS Trac Force Tires are now standard equipment Defender Limited HD10 and Defender Lone Star HD10.
New Fuel-Injected Youth Models & New ATV Features
All-new for 2023, Can-Am has added the Renegade 70 EFI, Renegade 110 EFI, and Renegade X xc 110 EFI youth ATVs to the lineup, taking performance and reliability to a whole new level for the entire family. All three new models also feature fuel-injected four-stroke engines, push-button electric starting for easy starting and increased fun for kids, and is complemented by the parental safety controls like the ability to govern the top speed of the vehicle. A whole new look and feel comes to the front end of the Outlander 850 and 1000R, as well as the Renegade 650, and 1000R, all of which is complemented by new, premium industry leading technology.
The Renegade 70 EFI is designed for riders who are six years old and up. It features 17-inch tires front and rear and an accessible seat height of 26-inches. Similar to its smaller counterpart, the Renegade 110 EFI is packed with attitude and performance, built and designed for riders who are 10 years old and up, equipped with 19” front tires and 18-inche rear tires, and an accessible seat height of 28-inches. The new Renegade X xc 110 EFI is a race-ready model, equipped with double A-Arm front suspension, gas charged piggyback shocks with 5.5-inches of travel upfront and 6-inches in the rear, 19-inch front tires and 18-inch rear tires, 28-inch seat height, handguards and race-ready graphics.
For 2023, select models of the Outlander and Renegade lineups are now equipped with new premium technology such as industry-first intelligent Engine Braking (iEB) as well as new LED headlights, allowing riders to see the trails farther ahead with a brighter and wider field of view. The Outlander and Renegade lineups also received new, aggressive looks upfront, with all new plastics creating a fierce and exciting appearance.
The intelligent Engine Braking system allows riders to adjust their engine braking at the push of a button. With three pre-configured engine braking settings, riders can choose from minimal, medium, and maximum engine braking to be better tailored to their preferences, which enhances the rider experience and provides a more smooth and refined ride.
