Atturo Enters The Powersports Market With New Tires
Atturo enters the side-by-side market with its two new tires showcased at the SEMA Show.

Atturo entered the Powersports market with the introduction of two new tires at the 2022 SEMA Show. The Trail Blade X/T SxS and the Trail Blade BOSS SxS are for both sport and recreational UTVs. While both tires are based on the years of testing, development, racing, and consumer feedback of their Light Truck counterparts make no mistake these tires are all-new and specifically designed for the demands of the modern SxS owner and their vehicle.

“Atturo may be new to the Powersports market, but we will be a familiar name to the UTV Consumer,” Said Michael Mathis, President of Atturo Tire Corp. “Nearly every Side-by-Side owner already owns a truck and will be familiar with the Atturo brand from our years in the market, substantial consumer marketing, and success in Motorsports.”

Both of Atturo Tires' new SxS tires will feature steel belted radial construction that will match the demands of today's modern Side-By-Sides. The more powerful machines, with increasingly sophisticated suspension designs, demand a modern tire with modern construction. The steel belted construction along with advanced segmented aluminum molds means a stronger, more uniform tire that has superior durability and puncture resistance, plus better grip compared to nylon belted competitors using two-piece mold designs.

The tread patterns utilized in Atturo’s initial SxS offerings are modeled after their most successful Light Truck offerings, the Trail Blade X/T, and Trail Blade BOSS. The SxS series of tires follow the same design cues of Atturo’s Trail Blade Family of tires, modeled off unique knife blade designs that are both stylish and functional.

“The Trail Blade X/T SxS is a highly tuned version of our Light Truck offering,” said Joe Gomez, Marketing Manager. “This is a tread pattern that has proved to be successful in short-course racing and will be a highly versatile tire for the Side-by-Side Market when it comes to mixed surfaces such as hard pack trails, light mud, sand, and can also be studded for ice and snow use.”

The Trail Blade BOSS SxS on the other hand is modeled after Atturo’s most aggressive offering in the LT lineup and is for the Side-By-Side owners who won’t back down when it comes to the most challenging terrain.

Atturo's new tires feature an aggressive sidewall.

“The BOSS has successfully finished both King of the Hammers and Baja, it is an overbuilt hardcore off-road tire that laughs at pretty much any terrain, and that is the same attitude we wanted to deliver to UTV owners in its Side-by-Side counterpart,” said Collin Mikottis, Brand Experience Specialist for Atturo Tire. “The SxS version of the tire has an even higher void ratio than the light truck version, and we are confident it can live up to the Trail Blade BOSS pedigree.”

Atturo plans to use a similar strategy to launch into the powersports market as they have since 2009 in the light truck segment. In addition, Atturo has always believed that the best way to prove a tire’s worth is by putting it through the trials and tribulations of motorsports and winning.

Atturo is developing a contingency program for competitors in SCORE, Ultra4, Best in The Desert, Great American Short Course, Nor-Cal Rock Racing, and more. Watch for a series of print, digital, video, and events to fully support the Atturo Powersports program for our distributors and dealers.

The Trail Blade X/T SxS is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2022 with the Trail Blade BOSS SxS will follow in the first part of 2023. Both tires will be available in 14-inch and 15-inch rim sizes from 28-inch through 35-inch diameters. For more information on Atturo's new tires, be sure to visit their website.
