Once a year Rugged Radios sells Pink Handheld Radios in both the R1 business band and the GMR2 consumer band radios for one day only, and 100 percent of the sale is donated. Rugged Radios does this fundraiser event during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise money for the Low-Cost Mammogram program for the Cancer Association of Havasu.
All proceeds (including tax and shipping) go directly to the Cancer Association of Havasu when you buy a Pink Radio. Last year Rugged Radios raised over $30,000, but this year wants to make that number even bigger this year.
This year Rugged Radios has partnered with Renee Hudson for the event, a local UTV racer, and advocate, in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Rugged Radios founder and President Greg Cottrell will be with Hudson in Havasu, streaming live online.
In addition to online orders, Cottrell will offer a short run of pink radios for local pickup in Lake Havasu. Radios will be available online and if you're in Lake Havasu, join Cottrell and Hudson at the Cancer Association of Havasu, where a limited run of radios will be available.
Radios become available Monday, October 24th at 10 am PST while supplies last. For more information on the pink radio program or to purchase your own, be sure to visit Rugged Radios' website.
