Sand Tires Unlimited All-New The Big Tebo Paddle Tire

Sand Tires Unlimited is well known for its paddle tires in the dunes, and with the evolution of the types of vehicles enjoying the soft sand, a new tire needed to be created. Their all-new The Big Tebo tire is perfect for UTVs that need more bite out of the front tires.

The Big Tebo has eight sections of paddles, and each section has three paddles. The paddles alternate sides, making it the same whether it is mounted on the left or the right side of the vehicle.

The tire is 32 inches tall and mounts on a 15x8 wheel. Like all Sand Tires Unlimited products, these are American-made products. The Big Tebo is durable and weighs 22 pounds, but when it is comp cut, the tire comes in at only 16 pounds. This tire fits many applications, from weekend warrior duners to high horsepower drag racers.

"As the sand industry evolved, I designed sand tires for all the different sand vehicles, including UTVs," Mark Harms, former owner of Sand Tires Unlimited, said. "When I designed my last tire for Sand Tires Unlimited, my inspiration came from the 80s, where I reached back and replicated the design Roger Tebo came up with all those years ago from the Mini Desert Trac. I dedicated 'The Big Tebo' to Roger and Linda Tebo for that inspiration."

Tebo had been a dealer of Sand Tires Unlimited for some time before Harms started his tour with the company. In the late 70s early 80s, Sand Tires Unlimited introduced its first ATV tire and called it the Mini Desert Trac.

The Mini Desert Trac wasn't designed as a sand-only tire. It had a multi-purpose design for both sand and off-road. Sometime during the early 80s, Tebo came up with a grooving idea for the tire, which made it an excellent performing sand-only tire. When Sand Tires Unlimited took orders for this tire, they would call it the Tebo cut.
