One of the most popular off-road vehicles of all time is back, but it is electric. The Meyers Manx 2.0 is the first totally new vehicle from Meyers Manx in over fifty years. From celebrities like Steve McQueen to groundbreaking off-road racers, the Meyers Manx is a paradigm of performance with style to match.
Crucially the new buggy is obviously still a Manx, but it has some rad styling updates courtesy of Freeman Thomas, who designed cars like the original Audi TT Panoz Roadster and Volkswagen New Beetle. There’s a new intake at the front end that apes the shape of the brush guard, and the body’s fender flares have been subtly resculpted. The Manx’s lower tub shape hides the battery and other new components really well.
The first 50 pre-production cars will be distributed to people whose experiences and data collection will help make the production car the best it can be. Beta customers will be expected to drive their cars in all types of conditions for a pre-assigned minimum mileage over a 12-month period and will be discussing their findings regularly with the Meyers Manx team. This rigorous testing methodology mirrors that of our founder, Bruce Meyers, who set the Baja speed record with his prototype buggy "Old Red."
The Meyers Manx 2.0 features an open cockpit and silent electric powertrain there's little to interrupt you as you experience nature in a whole new way. With up to an estimated 300 miles of range, the Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric can travel to your favorite hiking spots, your local beach, or any US National Park using their optional DC Fast Charging capability.
If getting dirty is more your style, improvements have been made on that front as well. With their sealed electric drivetrain, on-trail repairs and punctured oil pans are a thing of the past.
The Meyers Manx 2.0 is available to reserve for a $500 deposit. The deposit is fully refundable but gets your build started as early as possible. For more information on the Meyers Manx 2.0, be sure to visit their website.
